Acapela Modern Mex has combined traditional Mexican cuisine with fresh flavors that will make your tastebuds sing. Originating in Los Angeles this brand built up a following and headed south to La Mesa for its first San Diego location and second restaurant to open. They transitioned an 850 SF fast-casual space into a bright and modern quick-serve operation to dish out all-day breakfast, flavorful surf & turf, and a secret menu. Alexis Dachs represented the tenant in their first expansion space.

Ike's Love & Sandwiches | Poway

Another grand opening in the books! Ike's Love & Sandwiches' new Poway location opened its doors at Twin Peaks Shopping Center in a 1,225 SF shop previously occupied by Subway. They celebrated their 6th San Diego grand opening with two new location-exclusive sandwiches called "What's My Age Again" and "The City in the Country" as a nod to the city and famous band origin. Ike's continues to successfully expand throughout the west coast as a craveable, fun, and vegan-friendly sandwich brand with a seamless operation. Mike Spilky and Alexis Dachs represent the tenant in their search for additional spaces in San Diego, Riverside, and San Bernardino Counties.

Dynamic duo Marc Karren and Hannah Sierpina joined in on the fun at ICSC@Western this year to meet with regional industry leaders. Much like the annual ICSC event held in Vegas each May, it's a prime opportunity to learn industry trends and market availabilities, while networking with those in the CRE space. Luckily for us, ICSC Western is held right in our backyard at the San Diego Convention Center. Our team had back-to-back meetings each day and made our office proud.

Team Weddings | Philippines and Santa Barbara

Two Location Matters associates tied the knot this quarter in stunning fashion. David S. Cutler married his longtime sweetheart in a beautiful intimate Philippines ceremony surrounded by close family and friends and continued the celebration by enjoying the beautiful islands after. Alexis Couch (Dachs) married her USD college love by the beach in Santa Barbara. It was a glamorous event and an amazing party to remember! We wish both couples many happy years together and consider their significant others as part of the Location Matters family.
